Bissau – A small country in West africa with huge potential
Recently, I was happy to lead a delegation of investors in Guinea-Bissau to look into available opportunities in this country and the way to tackle with. We were looking at : Agro-industry, Energy, Finance and Infrastructure.
We had very interesting working sessions with Ministers of Infrastructure sir Fidelis Forbs, and Minister of Agriculture Honorable Botche Candé and their teams.
We discussed how BUTOR CAPITAL, with Justin ETTY as CEO and partners, will be able to Structure a Captive Fund to finance Infrastructures and Agro-Industrial opportunities in PPP programs in Guinea-Bissau.
It is good to know that Guinea-Bissau is one of the five Portugese speaking countries in Africa. It is a small country with 2 millions inhabitants living on 36.130 km2 of land in west africa.
The country has a myriad of islands on its coastal side. It is a nice place for tourism. Its waters are very rich of halieutics ressources ; between the richest of Atlantic Ocean. One of the weaknesses of the country is the lack of infrastructure. The President Embalo and the prime minister, chief of the government are actively working on encouraging different development projects.
We would like to contribute at our level to build this country, full of resources.
